John Cena and Dean Ambrose Vying to Face Seth Rollins

Mr. Money in the Bank Seth Rollins is quickly developing into one of WWE's top heels, and that has become quite apparent based on the fact that he's a marked man. Both John Cena and Dean Ambrose want to get their hands on Rollins, but it is possible that only one of them will be afforded that luxury at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.

Question on Everybody's Mind: How Will Main Event Scene Look at Hell in a Cell?

The rivalry between Rollins and Ambrose dates back several months to when Rollins decided to destroy The Shield. Ambrose has been trying to get revenge ever since. Rollins put him out of action for a month by hitting him with a Curb Stomp on cinder blocks, but WWE's Lunatic Fringe returned with a vengeance at Night of Champions. He is currently positioned as WWE's No. 2 face, but the No. 1 guy is standing between him and Rollins.

Cena has Rollins firmly in his crosshairs due to the decision to interfere in his match at Night of Champions. Just when Cena seemed poised to beat Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Rollins hit Cena with his Money in the Bank briefcase and then Curb Stomped Lesnar. Rollins' cash-in attempt was foiled by Cena, and Cena obviously hasn't forgotten that The Authority's pet project cost him the title a few weeks ago.

Ring Rust Radio's Take

WWE has several options as it relates to Cena, Ambrose and Rollins. One of Cena or Ambrose could face Rollins in a singles match, but that would leave the other guy in a tough spot. That Superstar would probably have to go up against another Authority member in Randy Orton, but neither Cena nor Ambrose truly have a vendetta against him right now. Ambrose has the greatest case to face Rollins since he almost ended his career from a storyline perspective. He also double-crossed him by dissolving The Shield, and screwed him out of the Money in the Bank contract as well.

It makes sense for Cena to have an issue with Rollins too, but his true focus should be on Lesnar and the world title after nearly winning it. WWE seems to be somewhat ignoring Lesnar, which could mean that he won't wrestle at Hell in a Cell. Even so, Cena looks somewhat moronic for totally forgetting about the championship and focusing on Rollins.

In order to please everyone and get the world title involved in the process, WWE would be wise to have a Fatal 4-Way between Cena, Ambrose, Rollins and Orton with a world-title shot on the line. There hasn't been a Fatal 4-Way in the cell for quite some time, so the match would be intriguing. Most importantly, though, it would get the belt involved even if Lesnar isn't present.

Luke Harper Potentially In Line for Singles Push

The Wyatt Family hasn't been seen much on WWE programming in recent weeks, but they resurfaced in the form of a couple eerie vignettes on Raw. The promos featured Wyatt talking about Harper specifically. He mentioned giving Harper a purpose and then claimed that he was "releasing" his family member. That has led many to speculate that the Wyatt Family could be heading toward a breakup.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Is Harper Ready to Be on His Own?

There are many different ways to interpret the Wyatt Family promos, but it seems blatantly obvious that Harper is about to receive a push as a singles competitor. That could occur with the support of Wyatt and Erick Rowan, but it could also mean that Harper is departing the Wyatt Family altogether. Harper's persona is unquestionably perfect for the stable, and it can be argued that there is a lot left for the Wyatts to accomplish as a group.

Despite the fact that many consider Harper and Rowan to be WWE's top tag team, they have been unable to capture the Tag Team Championships. At the same time, it is abundantly clear that Harper is the shining star in that duo. Rowan has good size and a menacing look, but Harper has all of that and a lot more. While it may not be fair to say that Rowan is holding him back, Harper definitely has something to offer as a singles star.

Ring Rust Radio's Take

If Harper remains with the Wyatt Family, then Wyatt can be used as his mouthpiece. Wyatt has a great character and a ton of charisma, so he could thrive in that type of role. At the same time, Harper has done well for himself in the limited opportunities he has been given on the mic. Also, Harper doesn't necessarily need someone overshadowing him in the eyes of many fans. Wyatt has deficiencies, most notably in the ring, but he is beloved regardless.

Provided WWE gives Harper an opportunity to go out on his own, it may not take long for some to single out Harper as the true breakout star of the group. His in-ring work is absolutely spectacular in that he can have a great match with everyone. He can do the typical big-man stuff, but he adds in some flair with super kicks and suicide dives as well.

Harper has only been with WWE since 2012, but he is 34 years of age and is definitely ready for his big break. Harper is already good enough to be a midcard champion in WWE, and there is no telling how high he could potentially go after that if he hits the right notes with his gimmick.

Brock Lesnar's Situation Uncertain

Lesnar hasn't been seen since losing to Cena by disqualification at Night of Champions. Paul Heyman confronted Rollins and The Authority on Raw about the cash-in attempt, which prompted Rollins to apologize. Heyman seemed to accept the apology, but he received a menacing glare from Triple H. With no mention of Lesnar's return, his status is essentially shrouded in mystery.

Question on Everybody's Mind: When Will We See Lesnar Next?

The Beast Incarnate has been used sparingly since ending The Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania, but he has still managed to be the most dominant Superstar and biggest draw on the roster. His dissection of Cena at SummerSlam was shocking, but it was embraced by much of the WWE Universe since he represents something new and different as champion.

It has been known since Lesnar returned to WWE that he isn't a full-time guy. He isn't going to appear on Raw very often, and he is only going to wrestle a handful of pay-per-view matches over the course of a year. Many were hopeful that Lesnar would at least appear at every pay-per-view when he became champion, but that is looking less and less likely with Hell in a Cell approaching. If Lesnar doesn't compete at HiaC, then there is no telling when he will be back.

Ring Rust Radio's Take

Lesnar not appearing on a pay-per-view isn't necessarily a huge deal as long as it is explained. It very much seems as though WWE is trying to push Lesnar toward the background right now. That would be understandable if he wasn't champion, but the title simply can't be ignored. Having destroyed Cena at SummerSlam and retained against him at Night of Champions, a logical move would be to have Heyman announce that Lesnar won't wrestle until a true challenger comes forward.

WWE could then establish a No. 1 contender at Hell in a Cell with that Superstar potentially going on to face Lesnar at Survivor Series. That process could be repeated after that with Lesnar skipping TLC and then defending again at Royal Rumble. That would leave just one pay-per-view left before WrestleMania, so Lesnar could most definitely make it all the way to March as champ.

If Lesnar is going to disappear with the title for months on end without defending it, though, that will be a tough sell to fans. There was plenty of backlash when The Rock held the belt from Royal Rumble through WrestleMania XXIX with just one defense in between a couple years ago.

Lesnar isn't being advertised for any events for the remainder of 2014, which means WWE should find a creative way for him to drop the title, such as vacating it, if he isn't going to wrestle at any of the next three pay-per-views.
