WWE's Top Tweets, Instagram Photos and Viral Videos for Week of Sept. 29
WWE often breeds the strangest of combinations as social media related to the squared circle reminded fans this week.
Many of the most intriguing tweets, Instagram photos and viral videos from the WWE world acted as celebrations of unexpected mishmashes. A college football coach borrowed a move from The Rock, and The Bunny shared a moment with Rev. Jesse Jackson.
Elsewhere, Dean Ambrose and Bad News Barrett's entrance music overlapped, and classic video games welcomed contemporary characters.

Fresh Backstage WWE Rumors 👊

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
We begin first with the current Divas champ, AJ Lee. With as muddled as the narrative of her rivalry with Paige as been, it's easy to forget how much of a predator she can be.
A WWE-produced YouTube video jogged our memories. The latest 30 Seconds of Fury clip highlighted Lee at her most dangerous, showing her cackling and clamping down her Black Widow hold:
As excellent as that was, one has to wonder why it wasn't shown on Raw or SmackDown. It would provide a welcome boost to her character, which has gotten lost in the meandering feud she's involved with.
John Cena, a man Lee was once obsessed with, isn't in the same situation in the least. It may not be clear what match will headline Hell in a Cell, but Cena's motivations certainly are. In an interview with Michael Cole, he said he was "gunning for Seth Rollins."
Before he headed to Raw in search of Rollins, WWE caught a memorable shot of him during his entrance:
The dramatic angle and Cena's gear make this look like a panel out of a comic book. It's fitting because Cena has long been compared to Superman.
The Rock, one of the few men who have been able to topple that hero, came to mind again despite not being near the ring. Anthony Schlegel channeled The Great One.
Working as a strength and conditioning coach for Ohio State football doesn't normally require him to tackle anyone during a game. It's not every day that a fan runs onto the field, though.
Schelegel laid the smackdown on the would-be invader, inspiring many a Photoshopped image. RedditCFB tweeted one of the best, trading the fan out for Cena:
College football and WWE have intertwined in the past, via superimposed images or otherwise. It's less often that we see well-known political figures interacting with the WWE circus.
That collision of worlds occurred on Monday's Raw, when Jackson attended the show. After The Bunny won a scuffle with Heath Slater, he and the reverend celebrated together.
The WWE Universe Twitter account tweeted a photo of the surprising combo:
Jackson raising The Bunny's hand sums up how weird WWE can be. It's a form of entertainment that can befuddle those who stumble onto it.
Imagine if someone who knew nothing about WWE or The Rosebuds were to wander around on Instagram and happen upon the shot of Adam Rose and The Bunny meditating backstage:
Questions would fill the brain at a rapid rate.
The same thing would likely happen to non-WWE fans switching the channel in time to see Ambrose conducting a clearance sale on Monday's Raw. It's antics like that which have lessened the blow of Daniel Bryan and Barrett being out with injury.
It may not be until the tail end of 2014 that we see Barrett back in action. YouTube artist CantBreakSteelMashes brought Barrett back in a way, melding his entrance music with Ambrose's:
Should they ever form a tag team, they have a ready-made song awaiting them.
Pairing Ambrose and Barrett is one of the many options available to fans in WWE 2K15. One of the biggest selling points to the upcoming video game is how improved the graphics will be now that the series makes the jump to next-gen consoles.
Brendan Docherty had previous generations on his mind. He composed a trailer for a retro version of WWE 2K15:
Maybe it's just the nostalgia talking, but that looks mighty fun.
The same can be said about Finn Balor set to be a part of NXT. WWE didn't let him keep the name he used in New Japan Pro Wrestling (Prince Devitt) but would be smart to let him keep his body-painting gimmick.
Balor tweeted a drawing of himself, awash with black paint:
It's the kind of thing his fans hope to see a lot more of in the near future. Balor is thrilling in the ring and will no doubt put on a number of great matches.
Just as long as WWE doesn't have him battling The Bunny, things are going to work out just fine.
