Half Year Review 5: ECW Review
This is the fifth of a daily series I will be doing until June 30.
I will use articles and slideshow lists to cover and review TNA and WWE events over the past six months. Thus the name: Half Year Review.
Today's is a review of the past sic months of ECW action.

I don't know what you guys think, but this show, in my opinion, is ruined by it's name. ECW stands for Extreme Championship Wrestling. It's less extreme than Smackdown and Raw. Anytime I see the opening credits with the new logo of ECW I feel a little disappointed in comparison of what it used to be.
Saying that, over the course of the year new ECW has kind of grown on me. They now have many wrestlers that are showing nice potential and the feuds are lasting a lot longer.
It has also been helped by the introduction of Christian in January. He has brought out the best in Swagger and raised the bar of the standard for the title picture.
For me, Jack Swagger is brilliant entertainment, with his amateur background and little whining moments. He reminds me much of Kurt Angle.
ECW used to be a bit of a bore to watch and not worth staying up for—it's on later in the U.K.
Matt Striker and Todd Grisham were perfect commentators for the show. Now that Grisham has left, it has gotten worse with what's-his-name replacing him.
I think they should get a Hardcore or European Title introduced as a B Title for the show to give the mid-carders something to go for.
ECW has upped the ante with the Hart Dynasty. I love them. When their music plays I often get goosebumps.
For me, ECW has gone from watching in hope that something will happen to be entertained for an hour. A strong improvement.
