Weekly Television Schedule Features Marquee NBA Matchups
This week’s schedule of nationally-televised NBA games includes a couple of marquee matchups and appearances by all six division leaders, and fans with League Pass will get extra treats. Here’s the daily schedule (all times EST), along with a game of the night.
Monday, Nov. 12
- No nationally-televised games.
Game of the night (League Pass): Boston (3-3) at Chicago (4-2), 8 p.m. The Bulls, who’ve looked both hot and cold, could be without point guard Kirk Hinrich for this matchup with the retooled Celtics.
Tuesday, Nov. 13
- San Antonio (6-1) at LA Lakers (3-4), 10:30 p.m., NBA-TV.
Game of the night: Washington (0-5) at Charlotte (2-3). Just kidding. The only nationally-televised game of the night—the Spurs at the Lakers—should be a good one even though the Lakers are struggling.
Wednesday, November 14
- Memphis (5-1) at Oklahoma City (5-2), 8 p.m. (ESPN).
- Miami (5-2) at LA Clippers (5-2), 10:30 p.m. (ESPN)
Game of the night: Make your snacks in advance, as both games should be dandies. I’ll go with the Heat-Clippers as my GOTN, though, as it’ll feature a ton of star appeal and two division leaders.
Thursday, Nov. 15
- Boston (3-3) at Brooklyn (3-2), 8 p.m. (TNT).
- Miami (5-2) at Denver (4-3), 10:30 p.m. (TNT).
Game of the night (League Pass): A pair of what should be great games. Unfortunately, the GOTN—New York at San Antonio—won’t be on national TV. The Knicks are perfect so far, having won all four games by double digit margins.
Friday, Nov. 16
- Utah (3-4) at Philadelphia (4-2), 7 p.m. (ESPN, NBA-TV).
- New York (4-0) at Memphis (5-1), 9:30 p.m. (ESPN, NBA-TV).
Game of the night: New York at Memphis. Rudy Gay (19.5 ppg) and Zach Randolph, who leads the league in rebounding (14.5 per game), have powered the Grizzlies to a fast 5-1 start.
Saturday, Nov. 17
- No nationally-televised games.
Game of the night (League Pass): Chicago at LA Clippers, 9 p.m. This was a close call, as Denver at San Antonio (8:30 p.m.), should also be a good game. But who doesn’t like watching the Clippers? They’re young, talented and fun to watch.
Sunday, Nov. 18
- Cleveland (2-5) at Philadelphia (4-2), 6 p.m. (NBA-TV).
Game of the night (League Pass): Indiana (3-4) at New York (4-0), 12 p.m. The Pacers were expected to compete for the Central Division title, but lost All-Star Danny Grainger to injury for three to four months.
