Portland Trailblazers: A Player on Each Team Fans Hate to See
Each team has that one player opponents hate to play against.
This season, some pretty terrible teams, mostly because of a player going off, have upset the Blazers.
Whether they seem to have field days or just make the key shots to down the Blazers, here I list the Blazers' worst enemies on each team.
Boston Celtics
1 of 28Paul Pierce just cannot miss when he is playing the Blazers, hitting 16-of-25 shots last season and shooting 6-of-11 from beyond the arc.
Let's hope this trend doesn’t continue this year, when they meet up with each other on March 9.
New Jersey Nets
2 of 28Although he has been hurt most of this year, Brook Lopez has always been a Blazer killer, whether he's getting a deep position in the paint and scoring or cleaning up the glass.
New York Knicks
3 of 28Though he used to be on the Nuggets, Carmelo Anthony would still kill the Blazers, so there is no doubt fans need to look out for him when Portland faces the Knicks.
Philadelphia 76ers
4 of 28Elton Brand can do everything against the Blazers.
He can score, rebound and dish out the dimes.
He can't do this against anyone but the Blazers.
Toronto Raptors
5 of 28Andrea Bargnani can post numbers against the Blazers, no matter what the rest of his team is doing.
Big points and big rebounds can take down the Blazers at any time.
Dallas Mavericks
6 of 28Earlier this season, the Blazers suffered a heart-breaking double-overtime loss to the Mavericks.
Thank you for that one, Delonte West.
Houston Rockets
7 of 28Kyle Lowery already had a game against the Blazers in which he tallied 33 points eight rebounds and nine assists.
Even when he doesn’t have a high-scoring night, you can count on him to hit a shot when it hurts the most.
Memphis Grizzlies
8 of 28O.J. Mayo will score more than his fair share of points against the Blazers. Even if he is coming off the bench, as he did earlier this season, he can still score 20.
New Orleans Hornets
9 of 28Jarrett Jack is another ex-Blazer.
Now that Chris Paul is gone, Jack has seen his role expand. He has filled this role fairly well, so watch out for him when he plays against his former club.
San Antonio Spurs
10 of 28Kawhi Leonard has posted two really good games against the Blazers this year, shooting 14-for-23 from the field, scoring 35 points and grabbing 15 boards.
Chicago Bulls
11 of 28Luol Deng has been able to post some enormous numbers against the Blazers the past few seasons.
They have just not been able to find a solution to stop him from scoring.
Cleveland Cavaliers
12 of 28Before the emergence of Kyrie Irving, it used to be Ramon Sessions who seemed to have his way with the Blazers.
Now that Irving is the starting point guard, he might be the next guy to be feared.
Detroit Pistons
13 of 28Rodney Stuckey killed the Blazers this season and has always been one of those guys who can help a team pull off a major upset.
Watch out, Blazer fansteams with players like Stuckey are not to be underestimated.
Indiana Pacers
14 of 28Last season, Danny Granger averaged 24.5 points when he played against the Blazers.
Either he is just that good or the Blazers couldn’t figure him out.
Going up against Granger isn’t the ideal situation for the Blazers.
Milwaukee Bucks
15 of 28If the Bucks beat the Blazers on any particular night, you can look over at the box score and find Brandon Jennings's line filled with lots of great numbers.
Enough said.
Denver Nuggets
16 of 28Without Carmelo Anthony, the Nuggets' X-factor is going to be another ex-Blazer in Andre Miller, who was essentially swapped for Raymond Felton.
It will hurt even more when Miller shows what a horrible trade that ended up being for the Blazers.
Minnesota Timberwolves
17 of 28Oregon native Kevin Love always posts ridiculous points and rebounds.
Though it is fun to see him play, he can still throw a loss at the Blazers.
Oklahoma City Thunder
18 of 28It hurts so much, but not only can Kevin Durant add a loss to the Blazers' schedule, he was the missed opportunity.
Thank you, Greg Oden.
Utah Jazz
19 of 28Last season, Al Jefferson easily averaged a double-double against the Blazers, scoring 64 points and grabbing 49 rebounds in four games.
This season, Jefferson was hurt when the two teams met, but Jefferson looks better than ever.
Atlanta Hawks
20 of 28Joe Johnson always plays his best against the Blazers.
He even gets his team playing better, dealing out plenty of assists.
Miami Heat
21 of 28I’ll give you three guesses as to who I’m picking for this one.
Washington Wizards
22 of 28You wouldn’t think the Wizards would dominate the Blazers this year.
Well, thanks to Nick Young, that became a reality.
Golden State Warriors
23 of 28Depending on where they are playing, Stephen Curry seems to have his field days against the Blazers.
If the Blazers are playing in Oracle Arena, they might as well fear the entire Golden State roster.
Los Angeles Lakers
24 of 28Probably one of the most hated ex-Blazers, Rasheed Wallace has reportedly come out of retirement for the Lakers, according to an article on NECN.com.
Sacramento Kings
25 of 28Tyreke Evans makes himself look like an All-Star every night against the Blazers and all the players around him somehow get better as well.
Phoenix Suns
26 of 28On any normal night, Steve Nash might score between 10-15 points.
On any night against the Blazers, look for 20-25.
He can just miss that three-pointer.
Orlando Magic
27 of 28Dwight Howard is a monster. He can easily grab 20 boards and score 25 points.
When he plays against the Blazers something changes and he make doing that look like its the easiest thing he has ever done.
Los Angeles Clippers
28 of 28Chris Paul killed the Blazers earlier this year. We thought we had Paul figured out until the fourth quarter.
