What's At Stake?

Not too much, just a place in the AFC Championship Game and a shot at the Super Bowl.

This is a huge game that will feature the Patriots’ powerhouse offense that dominated the regular season with stellar play from Tom Brady, Wes Welker and Rob Gronkowski, just to name a few.

They are well-rested and coming off a bye week to play at home on Saturday.

This divisional game will also be highlighted by some guy you may have heard of named Tim Tebow, who has led the Broncos on an incredible run into the playoffs and through Wild Card Weekend.

These two teams met in Week 15, and the Pats had no problem dispatching the Broncs in a 41-23 blowout at Mile High.

Things must go much better for Denver this time around if they want a chance to win this.

What They're Saying

Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald found that Tom Brady is haunted most by playoff losses, which is driving him to succeed against the Broncos this weekend and get his first postseason win since 2007.

"

I look at a game like the Super Bowl against the Giants that I wish I’d made more plays in that game. They’re tough to handle. The playoff losses are the ones that haunt you the most, because there’s a finality to the football season.

"

Jeff Legwold of The Denver Post reported an interesting fact about where the Broncos are practicing, which isn’t a good sign for their looming outdoor game in the cold: “The Broncos took their practice indoors today because of the snowy weather, moving the workout into South Suburban bubble.”

Broncos Player to Watch: Tim Tebow

All eyes will be on Tebow, as he has improbably gotten his team to this game, and it will come down to his ability as a passer to be able to beat the Patriots.

Their secondary is one of the worst units in the league and is vulnerable to being torn up by accurate passes—something Tebow has sparingly proved capable of doing.

Will Tebow continue to “pull the trigger” like Elway asked him to? We will find out soon enough.

Patriots Player to Watch: Tom Brady

Captain Tom needs this postseason win more than any other quarterback left in the playoffs.

He consistently excels in the regular season but has seemingly lost his magic in January.

While the previous losses do not fall on him, he needs to play his best game to ensure that nothing can go wrong for the Pats.

Key Matchup: New England Pass Rush vs. Tim Tebow

The Patriots have one of the weakest pass rushes in the NFL, and this should give Tebow plenty of time to sit back and make reads.

If he can capitalize on the time he is given, the Broncos will pick the Pats apart and keep this game closer than you think.
