La Liga Power Rankings Week 3: Real Madrid Takes the Lead
One more week in the Spanish League has passed and we already got a few surprises.
Remember, the power rankings are not a stat, but rather a combination of recent performances, position in the table, perceived strengths and the opinion of yours truly.

They fought hard in their debut against Betis; we canโt say the same about yesterday.
19. Sporting

Result this week: Osasuna 2-1 Sporting
Two games, two defeatsโฆand Valencia is coming to town.
18. Zaragoza
Last weekโs position: 20th
Result this week: Rayo 0-0 Zaragoza
After conceding six goals in its first game, anything would have been an improvement for Zaragoza.
17. Getafe
Last weekโs position: 16th
Result this week: Real Madrid 4-2 Getafe
Considering the blatant mistake by the referee in the penalty that became the 2-1, you just can wonder: what if...

Result this week: Racing 0-0 Levante
After a nice performance at Valencia, Racing disappointed at home against Levante.

Another draw for Rayo; not so bad for a such troubled squad.

Levante started the season with two draws away from home, but next in the schedule is hosting Real Madrid.

Yes, they had a very tough schedule to start the season, but one point after two games seems too little for a Champions League side.

Los Colchoneros have yet to score their first goal of the season.
11. Athletic
Last weekโs position: fifth
Result this week: Espanyol 2-1 Athletic
Coach Marcelo Bielsa needs more timeโฆbut he better hurries up.

One victory at home, one defeat away, nothing really interesting to say about this team.
