In the summer of 2007, Liverpool swooped to bring Fernando Torres to the club from La Liga side Atletico Madrid for a fee in excess of £20 million to spearhead a new-look attack.

The impact the Spaniard had was incredible, as he netted a dozen goals in his first 20 appearances for the team, ushering in new hope and belief in a new Kop hero.
