The Frenchman and his side have endured a horrid start to the season, losing a host of stars to injury, suspension and transfers, but are prepared to bounce back in bidding for Kaka.
Madrid have been clear in indicating that the creative midfielder is no longer needed at the Santiago Bernabeu and have already attracted the interest of AC Milan, Paris St. Germain and a diverse array of other European clubs. But it is understood by the media that the wage demands of the star has been the only roadblock in any potential transfer and given Arsene Wenger's stubborn attitude when it comes to transfers, Kaka and Madrid may have to lower their expectations.
Whether this deal actually works out or not, the Gunners will no doubt be making a move for a creative midfielder in the remaining week of the window to replace Cesc Fabregas and perhaps even Samir Nasri.
If nothing materializes by the transfer deadline, the North Londoners will be in huge trouble and could lose a lot more than their Top Four status come the end of the season.
