Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and Real Madrid to Tour China

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho confirmed that Real Madrid will have a playing tour China, according to a report from Goal.com. Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo will be included in the China tour.

Nuri Sahin, Rafael Varane and Angel Di Maria will also join Real Madrid on the trip and the country will also see Xabi Alfonso, Iker Casillas, Gonzalo Higuain and Karim Benzema.

Real Madrid is expected to be in China this August. Real Madrid will play against Guangzhou Evergrande at Tianhe, Guangzhou and Tianjin Teda before returning to Spain for its match against FC Barcelona.

While the FIFA Coca Cola Ranking has China ranked fifth in the Asian continent, and 73rd internationally, one cannot deny the enthusiasm of the Chinese people towards football (soccer).

I had the honor of visiting China during the 2008 Summer Olympics and it is a football country in every aspect. I remember the people watching the Euro Cup 2008 match between Spain and Germany on TV.

I could still remember one of the people watching the match asking about my favorite team. The Chinese people also take their football seriously with teams such as the Qingdao Jonoon, which I saw (on TV) surrounded by their supporters.
