There have been rumors throughout the offseason that the Nerazzuri were interested in purchasing the Argentine forward. Tevez is reportedly unhappy at Manchester City and wants to start fresh at a new club. He also had trouble at his prior club Manchester United and departed with the club on bad terms. This has caused some fans uneasiness about the prospects of signing him.

According to The Guardian, Tevez met with the head of Inter’s technical staff, Marco Branca, while on vacation in Sardinia. The Argentine has claimed that the meeting was a coincidence, but due to the fact that Inter are in hot pursuit of the striker that claim appears to be questionable.

Tevez appeared in three games for Argentina during the Copa America, but failed to score in any of the matches. Currently, Manchester City are in the United States playing friendlies as preparation for the upcoming seasons.

However, Tevez did not make the trip as former Inter and current Manchester City manager gave him time off to rest after his exertions playing for his international team. Mancini has stated (The Mirror, h/t that Tevez will face disciplinary action if he does not report to the club by August 1.

Some analysts have speculated that Inter do not have enough money to buy the Argentine. In addition to that, there is concern about the volatile personality of Tevez, who had issues at his last two clubs.

However, Tevez has immense talent and on the field he always gives it his best. Pairing up the Argentine with Samuel Eto’o would give Inter one of the best striker tandems in the game.
