Juventus Ready To Add Arturo Vidal to Their Ever Growing Squad

According to goal.com, Bayern Leverkusen star man Arturo Vidal could be heading to Turin, as Juventus continue to add to their ever growing squad. The Chilean is currently in Argentina after Chile's loss in the Copa America, but may not return to training with Bayern Leverkusen, rather linking up with Juventus when they return from their US tour.

A bid that would persuade Leverkusen to sell would have to be in the region of €15 million, and although Munich have already proposed such an offer, Leverkusen were unwilling to sell to crosstown rivals.

Juventus are taking a much more conservative approach, allowing Leverkusen to talk down the price of their player. Since they are also in the market for Rossi, €15 million on Vidal may prove just a little too much for a side that has already spent a bit of money securing loan deals and making a few signings.

Vidal's agent is keen to have his player join the Turin side, talking up the move. "I can affirm that we are talking with Juventus about Vidal," he said. When asked about the move to Juventus and the Serie A, he was all for it, saying it would be an "excellent opportunity." Vidal is tipped to be one of the best midfielders in the world in a couple of years, and at just 24 he could prove to be the spark Juventus need in midfield this season.

Although no bid has been formally made, an approach for Vidal is imminent from Juve. Not pursuing Aguero could see them have enough funds to purchase both Rossi and Vidal, ending their time in the market and putting Juventus in a perfect position for the 2011/2012 title race. They are currently on their US preseason tour.
