Arsenal Transfer Speculation: 3 Players Arsenal Should Be Looking at

1 of 4

Arsenal’s style of play is one of the most attractive in the Premier League. Arsenal was at one point challenging for a trophy on three fronts last season. They ended the season adding none to their cabinet and instead extended their drought.

This season needs to be different for Arsene Wenger. He is a legend but there has never been pressure like this upon the second-longest serving manager in the English top flight.

Wenger needs to improve his squad, with rumors of Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri, Gael Clichy and others perhaps leaving the club this summer.

Here are three players that Arsenal should be looking to bring to London.

Michel Bastos

Michel Bastos is the Lyon winger and the Brazilian left back who is a talented player that brings speed and width to all the teams he plays for. He is quick and can distribute the ball well from the left side of the field.

Although he plays as a winger for his club team, he would be and impressive signing for Arsenal if they can capitalize on his ability to play left back.

If they can utilize him in the back line, instead of in the midfield, they would see a large hole in their team disappear.

Arsene Wenger is the perfect coach to mold him as a left back in their system. Bastos’ speed and capability on the ball would be crucial as he makes one-two paces with players on the left side of the pitch.

He will bolt into the attack and send in service for Robin Van Persie and Mourane Chamakh to get on the end of.

Instead of Liverpool being rumored to attain the Brazilian, Arsenal really should be looking into him and showing their interest.

Daniele De Rossi

Daniele De Rossi has been a temperamental player for most of his career, because of this, his club situation is in flux with Roma.

De Rossi plays with his heart on his sleeve and would do the same with Arsenal if Arsene Wenger wanted to work with him.

He would be the backbone and the clean-up crew for the Gunners.

De Rossi would be the strong, bull dog-like player that would cover players when they are caught out of place, defensively, or get the ball back after a player gives it up.

His strength and temperament would not be detrimental to the Gunners because of how physical the Premier League is.

He is the kind of player that can take a bump and dish one out too. This is something that is enjoyed by fans of English football.

Although Arsene Wenger more than likely would not go for De Rossi, he is a player that is a good fit and would really do wonders for their squad if they decided to capitalize on De Rossi’s shaky club situation.

Andres Guardado

Andres Guardado is a creative attacking player for Mexico. He was plying his trade in La Liga until his club team Deportivo La Coruna was relegated to the second division in Spain.

Now Guardado is likely to move, and he's a player that Arsenal should be interested in, even if they don't know it.

He would fit perfectly in the calm and artistic playing style of the Gunners. He may not start immediately, but he is a player that will make an impact everytime he sees the field. His hard work and calmness under pressure will win Wenger over.

If Guardado came to London, he would likely get more than his fair share of chances with Arsenal. And he would reward them for their faith.

These are the kinds of players that any manager would want, and Guardado would excite the supporters at the Emirates every time he is on the ball.
