Perk nabs Save of the Week

Not bad for a debut.

Brian Perk, the LA Galaxy's third string goalkeeper, earned a Save of the Week for his stop on Fredy Montero on a penalty.

Perk is the fifth Galaxy player to earn a Save of the Week honor. Donovan Ricketts earned Week 6 honors, A.J. DeLaGarza and Landon Donovan split Week 11 and Week 15 went to Mike Magee.

Suddenly, the Galaxy are consistent defensively and are wrapping up the plaudits. It's not bad.
