World Transfer Rumours: Brazil's Lucas Could Be on His Way to Manchester United
While all the talk surrounds a possible move of the highly rated Santos ace Neymar to one of Europe's giants in the summer, with record-breaking transfer fees discussed, what's left out is another young and talented Brazilian star in the making: Lucas.
Lucas graduated from Sao Paulo FC and was featured at Corinthians as a youngster. Now, he has made his debut for the national team and has already attracted the love of the Brazilian fans.
Remembering the days of Ronaldo, Romario, Bebeto and many others of that generation makes you wonder what has happened to Brazil. The squad lacked dynamic in the last World Cup.

But looking at the future, it seems brighter than ever with Neymar, Ganso, Lucas and a few others who could turn on the magic in 2014.
Reports floating around suggest Chelsea has already had a bid for the 18-year-old turned down, while recent rumors link the teenager with a mega-deal move to Old Trafford.
The question that many of the top clubs will have to answer is: Are they willing to spend over £50 million? That is an obscene amount of money for a player who lacks a great deal of experience both in European and international play.
While his talent and ability are not questioned, Brazilian clubs are now trying to milk the most from their European counterparts for one of two reasons.
One, they are trying to keep their most prized assets at the club. But if that's not going to work, they can go to two, making Europe's elite sweat it out in their efforts to attract the best Brazilian talent.
Name: Lucas Rodrigues Moura da Silva, known as Lucas
Current Club: São Paulo FC
Position: Attacking Midfielder
Age: 18
So while the likes of Chelsea, City, Barcelona and Madrid fight it out for the services of Neymar, who will conquer São Paulo and sign Lucas?
With the upcoming Copa America and the inclusion of both Neymar and Lucas Moura, not to be mistaken by Liverpool's Lucas Leiva, the price for the two most wanted Brazilians could be inflated further.
While the need for an attacking midfielder is on the agenda at Manchester United, it's highly unlikely that Sir Alex Ferguson will dish out more than £20 million for a youngster. Especially after likely spending just under £50 million on the signing of David de Gea, who is in Manchester for his medical.
If São Paulo agrees to sell Lucas, his most likely destination could be City, Madrid or Chelsea...
So Brazil's Lucas could be on his way to Manchester—or not!
