Liverpool FC: Could Marko Marin Solve Kenny Dalglish's Left Wing Problem?
Standing at 5'7", 21-year-old German international Marko Marin has dazzled in his debut UEFA Champions League for Werder Bremen this season.
Blessed with exceptional control at pace and tap-dancer quick feet, this young talent is ruthless at avoiding tackles and is exceptional with his versatility.
A lightning quick dribbler, he's comfortable going forward from midfield and more often than not has delivered in-swinging crosses in the final third. Under Thomas Schaaf, Marin has mostly been deployed on the left, but is as effective on the right wing.

According to Liverpool TV, Liverpool FC under Roy Hodgson was interested in the "German Messi" and were scouting the German international back in September.
In February, Footy Latest reported that Liverpool Director of Football Damien Comolli felt that Marin would work well in the Premier League, and it appears that the Frenchman has taken a liking to talented German international.
Liverpool have been linked with moves to bring some natural width to their squad, something that is all the more likely now that the ineffective Dutch international Ryan Babel has moved to the Bundesliga.
Kenny Dalglish has been monitoring players like FC Barcelona's Jeffren for that position, and Marko Marin's name would certainly pop up when Dalglish sits at the end of the current campaign to sort a man for the coveted position.
However, not all Liverpool FC fans share the same opinion. Amy, a blogger at A Football Report, says:
"Marin's just another of those wingers that prefer to cut inside and Liverpool already have a tendency to buy that kind as opposed to sideline-hugging types that could stick in crosses for Carroll. Down the middle we're fairly well-stocked. It's width that we need and Marin comes inside too much for my liking, love him but don't think he's quite right for us.
"
Another option could be Udinese wide-man Alexis Sanchez, but with a host of clubs vying for his signature, most notably Manchester City according to yesterday's Guardian, it seems less likely that Liverpool would join in the hunt.
Arda Turan, Elia, Ashley Young and Edin Hazard have also in the past been linked to Liverpool.
Marko Marin is estimated to be worth around £16 million. An interesting summer transfer window ahead of us.
