Dutch first division club VVV-Venlo have signed an 18-month-old toddler prodigy after he become an Internet sensation.
Baerke van der Meij was filmed by his father chipping three balls into a box at his home in Venlo.
The toddler was then invited for a trial at VVV, the same club his grandfather once played for, and impressed them enough to earn a 10-year initial contract.
"Baerke did his best to amaze professional footballer Ken Leemans with his football techniques," said the club.
"One can speak of a right-footed player with a very good kick technique, perseverance and, importantly, football genes of grandfather Jan van der Meij."
