Bayern Munich vs. Real Madrid

The glamour tie of the quarter-finals will see Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, who have won a combined 16 European Cups/Champions Leagues, go head-to-head.
It'll be a special tie for Ancelotti. The Italian coach steered Madrid to their 10th triumph in this competition in 2014 before leaving the club a year later. He has the chance to show why he's considered an expert in these types of contests, and he'll need to call on all his acumen if his players are to send the holders packing.
As noted by Goal's Ben Hayward, it's another fascinating dynamic in what should be an absorbing pair of matches:
The action on the pitch is what will catch the eye, though, with some of the most exciting attacking players in the world set to face one another.
For Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema make up one of the most potent trios in European football. Bayern have a goalscorer supreme in Robert Lewandowski, and he's supported by the creative talents of Arjen Robben, Douglas Costa and Thiago Alcantara.

The last time these two sides met, at the semi-final stage of Madrid's glorious 2013-14 campaign, Sergio Ramos made the difference, scoring two goals at the Allianz Arena to kill the tie and help Real to a 5-0 aggregate win.
However, per the tournament’s official Twitter feed, these teams have been evenly matched in the past:
It's always special when two of the biggest teams in world football go head-to-head, and there won't be many lovers of the beautiful game who fail to tune in for this one. Madrid will feel confident their winning nous can help them through, though, as they seek to make history by becoming the first team to retain this title in its current format.
Atletico Madrid vs. Leicester City

The next stop in the remarkable Leicester story will be the Vicente Calderon, where they will take on an Atletico team that'll be desperate to continue its progression in the competition.
Leicester rode their luck at times against Sevilla in the previous round but battled their way into the last eight. While Atletico represent another difficult challenge, the Foxes will be confident they can keep this run going, especially after their Premier League success last term.
As Bleacher Report's Rob Blanchette noted after the draw, this Atletico side haven't looked quite as dominant as they have done in recent seasons:
Yet Los Colchoneros will be determined to go all the way this season. They've fought their way to two of the last three finals, losing out to local rivals Real on both occasions. Manager Diego Simeone, having done such an incredible job at the club, will want to cap their progress with their first Champions League success.
And while they've not been quite as cohesive this season, Atletico have a manager who knows how to get through these matches. In Antoine Griezmann, Kevin Gameiro and Yannick Carrasco, there are game-changers in the starting XI too.

It's unlikely Atletico will take anything for granted, though, as general manager Clemente Villaverde said after the draw was made, per Dermot Corrigan of ESPN FC:
Given both of these teams are at their best when sitting deep and trying to play on the counter-attack, it's unlikely their tussles will be free-flowing encounters. Leicester have thrived in those attritional battles previously, but in Atletico, they're up against one of the most durable teams around.
