David Luiz, Chelsea
Chelsea's serene progress to the top of the table has come due to a six-game winning streak in which they have netted 17 goals and conceded none.
Their last outing against Middlesbrough returned a 1-0 victory in a scrappy affair and, once again, Antonio Conte's back three of David Luiz, Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta were exemplary, per Michael Cox in the Guardian.
Per Cox, Luiz was the standout performer for Chelsea against Boro as he dealt admirably with Alvaro Negredo, while also displaying his quality in possession as he set up several Blues attacks from deep.
The Brazilian centre-back has been a revelation this season:
Chelsea's decision to buy him back from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer was met with widespread uncertainty given his historic positional ill-discipline and unpredictability.
However, Luiz has been brilliant in the main since Conte switched to a 3-4-3 system and will be essential when Chelsea face Spurs on Saturday.
Harry Kane will need to be well guarded having netted a late double to earn Mauricio Pochettino's side a victory last time out against West Ham, while his distribution from deep will be valuable again as Chelsea try to unlock Spurs' staunch defence.
Previously, relying on Luiz, 29, to pull out a top performance would have been a risky business, but after his recent heroics in Chelsea's back line it would be no surprise if he proves the standout player again on Saturday.
Juan Mata, Manchester United
United have not won a Premier League home game since their 4-1 demolition of Leicester City in late September.
Since then, they have drawn with Stoke City, Burnley and, most recently, Arsenal, Olivier Giroud's late headed goal a hammer blow for Jose Mourinho's side, who looked to be heading for all three points.

It was Juan Mata who had put United 1-0 ahead against the Gunners in the 68th minute—finishing a fine move with a deft finish—and the Spaniard has arguably been the Red Devils' best player in 2016-17.
Given the summer arrivals of Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Spaniard's prominence for the Red Devils is something of a surprise.
His consistent excellence, on the other hand, is no shock, as he has been one of the finest operators in the Premier League since joining Chelsea in 2011, per Sky Football:
Against a struggling West Ham who currently lie just a point above the relegation zone, Mata, 28, will again be vital.
As well as getting into scoring positions himself, the Spaniard also brings all United's other attacking threats—Ibrahimovic, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial—into play.
If he has another good game at Old Trafford on Sunday, then United have an excellent chance of claiming a much-needed home win against a Hammers side that have conceded 23 goals already this season in 12 matches.
