Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal

Arsenal bounced back from a disappointing 0-0 draw with Middlesbrough in style on Saturday as they dispatched Sunderland 4-1.

The Gunners have been in outstanding form this season and for the first time in years look strong in every department.

Despite Lucas Perez comprising their only senior attacking recruit brought in over the summerand the Spaniard potentially facing two months on the sidelines through injury—Arsenal have been a potent force going forward thanks to Alexis Sanchez's exceptional form.

The Chilean has started the season in much the same vein as he ended the last, with Squawka Football hailing his efforts:

Indeed, in all competitions he's already scored eight goals and had seven assists in 13 outings.

Former Premier League striker Michael Owen has been impressed with the 27-year-old, though he believes Arsenal could still use more firepower alongside him:

He perhaps has a point, but playing Sanchez centrally has been an effective tactic thus far.

Wherever he plays, his performance will be vital to getting three points against Spurs on Sunday—Mauricio Pochettino's side are unbeaten in the league this season and have shipped just five goals, so he'll need to continue his ruthless streak in front of goal if chances come his way.

His strength, intensity and tireless running will also help him cope with Spurs' pressing game, which Arsenal will need to do if they're to get a victory.

Paul Pogba, Manchester United

United's struggles continued last time out as they were held to a goalless stalemate by Burnley courtesy of a Tom Heaton masterclass and some occasionally wayward finishing.

The Old Trafford faithful would undoubtedly like to see more from the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba, the marquee summer signings who were brought in to help the Red Devils return to their former glory.

Pogba is perhaps under the most pressure given his £89 million price tag, and while he's not yet found the form he displayed at Juventus, he has perhaps contributed more than he's been given credit for, as demonstrated by Squawka Football:

His delivery has been especially good, as noted by football writers Liam Canning and Miguel Delaney:

With Ander Herrera banned for the Swansea match, there will be even more pressure for Pogba to produce the goods in midfield as the Spaniard has been one of United's brightest players this season.

The Swans remain firmly in a relegation scrap having failed to win since the opening day of the season, and with their porous defence, Pogba will have scope to carve out plenty of opportunities once again.

United boss Jose Mourinho will need to reshuffle his midfield with Herrera suspended.

Provided his new lineup allows Pogba the freedom to push forward, the Frenchman might also have to take matters into his own hands—he bagged 10 goals in each of his last two seasons at Juventus and United will be hoping they can count on him to step up in games such as this if their forwards can't get the job done.
