Atletico Madrid vs. Bayern Munich
In the tightest of two-legged clashes back in April and May, Bayern were jettisoned from the Champions League by Atleti on away goals.
Though the German champions won their home leg 2-1, the Spanish side's 1-0 win in the return leg proved the difference, and Bayern will be keen to reverse the result this time around at the Calderon.
Bayern midfielder Arturo Vidal said the German side will feed off their desire to right the wrongs of last season as they attempt to beat Atleti on Wednesday, per German magazine Kicker (via ESPN FC's Mark Lovell).
"We have to eradicate the pain of that defeat," said the Chilean. "We badly wanted to reach the final, but Atletico were more efficient in front of goal. We have plenty to rectify."
Bayern skipper Philipp Lahm played down the revenge factor, saying that, as Wednesday's clash is only a group game, "if we can leave there with some points then we will have had a very decent start to our campaign," per Charlie Mason on the club's official website.
Atleti will be desperate for a victory that could put them in the driving seat to top the group, but they may be without some key players, per SuperSport Blitz:
The defensive battle will be fascinating. Atleti have conceded just twice in six La Liga matches so far in 2016-17, while Bayern have let in only one goal in the Bundesliga in five games.
It is likely to be a low-scoring and tight affair in Madrid.
Celtic vs. Manchester City

After taking a beating from Barcelona on the opening matchday of this season's Champions League, it gets no easier for Brendan Rodgers' side as they host a rampant City.
The Hoops will take confidence from the fact that they will be in the familiar confines of Celtic Park, and also that they go into the clash on the back of a 6-1 win over Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership.
However, they had just beaten archrivals Rangers 5-1 when they travelled to the Camp Nou to face Barca.
City have a perfect record under Guardiola so far this season and have been impressively free-scoring, averaging three goals per game, per Bleacher Report UK:
They opened their 2016-17 Champions League account with a 4-0 home win over Gladbach and are favourites to prevail against Celtic.
Per Paul Wilson in the Guardian, City will "probably not be looking for a statement victory in Scotland" and will likely be happy to earn all three points with a narrow victory.
Such an approach could play into Celtic's hands if they can frustrate City and keep them out up to the hour mark. The Sky Blues may then commit more men forward and become more vulnerable to the counter-attack.
However, in reality, the gulf in quality is so pronounced between City and Celtic that it should be a routine victory for Guardiola's men in Glasgow on Wednesday.
