Spain vs. Turkey: Score and Twitter Reaction from Euro 2016
Rampant Spain cruised past Turkey in Group D of UEFA Euro 2016 at the Stade de Nice on Friday, as Vicente del Bosque's men seamlessly slipped into top gear to earn a 3-0 win, booking a spot in the next round.
First-half goals from Alvaro Morata and Nolito gave the reigning champions a comfortable lead at the break, and the Juventus striker doubled his haul after the interval with a tap-in.
Spain discovered their most convincing tournament form against the laboured Turkish side, dismantling them with a ruthless edge to their play from front to back.
Manager Del Bosque named an unchanged Spain starting XI following their victory over the Czech Republic in their opening match.
Turkey made one change, as Beijing striker Burak Yilmaz was selected to lead the line in place of Cenk Tosun, who dropped to the bench.

La Roja were in control of the match from the opening exchanges, as Turkey paid the Spanish unit too much respect and offered time on the ball.
Morata looked dangerous as he drifted into the striker role as Spain's attackers fed the Juve player.
The 23-year-old picked up his country's opener after 34 minutes, as Nolito tricked his way down the left and delivered an inswinging ball towards the penalty spot, and the former Real Madrid man flicked his header home.
ITV Football provided video of the strike:

Nolito ghosted into the box to add Spain's second three minutes later. The Celta Vigo star latched onto a deflected pass from Cesc Fabregas and neatly tucked his shot into the bottom corner.
ITV once again provided footage, with pundit Tony Pulis disappointed in the Turkey defensive unit, who looked devoid of application:
Turkey made rare excursions into Spanish territory, but their heads were down as the referee blew for half-time—the Turkish players were clearly desperate to get back into the dressing room in order to regroup.
WhoScored.com provided the player ratings during the break, including the first-half match stats:
Sports journalist Jonas Giaever complimented Spain and was impressed with what he witnessed:

The contest was over as a spectacle three minutes into the second half, as Morata doubled his goal haul to claim his team's third.
Spain's midfield sliced through the Turkish defence as Andres Iniesta played in Jordi Alba, and the full-back gave Morata the easiest of chances as they walked the ball into the net.
Once again, ITV provided footage of the brilliant goal:
Turkey regained some composure after the third of the night, fearing a thrashing if they didn't start retaining the ball, but the atmosphere was flat as Spain played their brand of tiki-taka—with goalkeeper David De Gea untroubled.
David Silva nearly earned a fourth on the hour-mark as Spain continued the exhibition of precision football.
Sportswriter Hassan Cheema passed comment on Turkey's woeful display as they sank without trace on Friday night:

Spain made a number of changes as the game petered out, with the result in the bag and the points secure.
Del Bosque applauded his side as they cantered past the winning post, as Turkey offered nothing in way of resistance in Nice.
This is the Spain team people fear; La Roja upped the ante on Friday at Euro 2016, and they will be very difficult to beat in this refreshing mood.
The Spanish produced a fluidity against Turkey that previously saw them become world champions, and the competition has yet to see a more convincing display from one of the big teams in France.
Post-Match Reaction
Del Bosque was delighted with his team's performance against Turkey and spoke about the potential of his side as they look to retain the European crown, per ESPNFC.us:
"We achieved our first goal which was to qualify for the knockout stages tonight. We had a good game that we controlled for 90 minutes.
It has been difficult for us to score so far, but tonight we have scored three goals. We must now turn to the third and final Group D match against Croatia.
It is always difficult to compare teams with the title winners of 2008 and 2012. Some of the best Spanish footballers have retired since. Each tournament has its truth.
"
Spain are clear at the top of Group D, two points ahead of Croatia, and guaranteed a spot in the knockout stage.
