Icelandic Magazine Produce Hilarious Twitter Commentary of Iceland vs. Portugal
The 2016 edition of the European Championship was sure to unveil some new talent, though perhaps few expected it to be quite like this.
Iceland's 1-1 draw with Portugal on Tuesday night was historic and impressive enough on its own, but anyone following along on Twitter would have been equally entertained thanks to one Icelandic magazine.
If, like many, you were captivated by the efforts of Gylfi Sigurdsson and Co., then the Reykjavik Grapevine might be worth a follow on social media.
The stage was set nice and early.
And they had their fun throughout the evening, tweeting on a number of topics ranging from goalkeeping...
...to simulation...
...to Sigurdsson's strength...
...and refereeing:
Of course, the highlight of the night was Birkir Bjarnason's second-half equaliser.
With one point in the books, Iceland take on Hungary in Marseille on Saturday—but don't hear it from us:
We'll be watching.
