Fans Riot in Stadium Following England vs. Russia Euro 2016 Match
The UEFA Euro 2016 match between England and Russia on Saturday was followed by some ugly scenes in the stands, as Russian fans breached the barriers separating each side's supporters following the 1-1 draw.
As shared by Ian Herbert of the Independent, French police were not on hand to separate the groups:
BBC Scotland's Nick Eardley reported the events that took place, painting an ugly picture:
The Sun Football shared more footage:
English and Russian fans have been rioting in Marseille for days, leading to plenty of violent confrontations and a handful of arrests.
Per Herbert, police have a water cannon outside the stadium should any more violence occur, though he noted after the game there is "no sign of trouble" in this area.
Eric Dier and Vasili Berezutski both scored on Saturday as Russia and England played out a 1-1 draw in their first match in Group B.
