Abby Wambach Literally Drops Microphone After Last Game of Her Career

Abby Wambach ended her prolific career Wednesday night with a mic drop.

Literally.

A two-time Olympic gold medalist and FIFA world champion with the USA, the 35-year-old called it quits after a match in New Orleans against China.

She exits the game as America's all-time leading national goalscorer and as the international record holder in goals for both men and women with 184.

On her way off the pitch in the 72nd minute, she removed her headband and shoes, then embraced her teammates:

Earlier in the day, Wambach posted a cryptic tweet that read "Make them forget me" before deleting all of her social media accounts.

After Wednesday's 1-0 loss, Wambach ended an interview with Fox by dropping her microphone.
