Chile vs. Argentina: Date, Start Time, Live Stream for 2015 Copa America Final

Gianni VerschuerenJul 4, 2015

Hosts Chile will face Argentina in the final of the 2015 Copa America on Saturday at the Estadio Nacional in Santiago, and beIN Sports USA (for U.S. viewers) and Premier Sports (for UK viewers) will carry full coverage of this much-anticipated clash, with both TV coverage and live streams available.

Both sides have stood out as the teams to beat during a tournament filled with incidents, and while the Albiceleste will undoubtedly be the favourites to win thanks to their pedigree and 6-1 drubbing of Paraguay in the semi-finals, the vocal support from the home crowd should give the Chileans a massive boost on Saturday.

Of the two sides, Argentina are undoubtedly the most battle-tested. The draw was kind to Chile, who avoided playing any of the group winners and certainly had the easiest route to the final on paper.

Meanwhile, Argentina have grown during the tournament, blasting their way to the final with a 6-1 win over Paraguay. Star forward Lionel Messi didn't score during that match, but he hopes he was simply storing his goals for Saturday's encounter, per ESPN FC. He said:

"I hope to God that my goals are being saved for the final. But in the final it doesn't matter whether the goals come from me or anyone else. We have met our first goal. We have made it to the final of a World Cup and now Copa America. We are coming into it with great hope."

Messi has yet to score at this year's Copa America, but his impact has been felt, regardless. Against Paraguay, he provided both Marcos Rojo and Javier Pastore with assists in the first half, and did the same for Sergio Aguero and Gonzalo Higuain after half-time.

Messi's role as provider has worked out well so far for Argentina, who were far too reliant on his brilliance during the 2014 World Cup.

The Albiceleste have ridiculous depth in attack, with Aguero, Higuain and Carlos Tevez all in good form entering the tournament, and manager Gerardo Martino deserves credit for finding a way to incorporate those luxuries.

Meanwhile, Chile narrowly survived clashes with both Uruguay and Peru during the knockout stages, a troubling run after the side looked absolutely dominant during the group stages. The win over Uruguay was overshadowed by controversy, and even talks of conspiracy, per Bleacher Report's Tim Vickery:

"

Are they right? This is a part of the world obsessed with such conspiracies, always open to the belief that the important decisions are taken by old men in smoky rooms. And there is no doubt that the Copa benefits from a strong performance by the hosts—hence the (legitimate) measures mentioned above.

But have murkier ways been found to help Chile on their way? Of course, there is that "offside" goal by Vargas against Peru. And there is also the fact that both quarter- and semi-final opponents, Uruguay and Peru, respectively, had men sent off.

"

There was also Arturo Vidal's car crash, and in light of everything that has happened, Goal's Ives Galarcep wonders whether anyone outside of Chile will be rooting for the hosts on Saturday:

But the focus should be on the pitch, where Chile boast a ton of quality. Vidal was sensational during the group stages, once again showing his early-season dip is well and truly over.

And with Alexis Sanchez running at defenders and Eduardo Vargas there to finish chances, the hosts have plenty of players who could hurt Argentina's defence.

Gonzalo Jara's suspension will hurt, and the battle between Chile's defence and Argentina's star-studded attack may prove the difference. Chile have yet to face a group of attackers as strong and deep as Argentina's, and stopping them seems a next-to-impossible task at this point.

And yet, given the fact the match will be played in Santiago, it's difficult to predict a win for Argentina. The support from the home fans should give the Chileans a massive boost, and in turn, neutral fans should be in for a great final.
