In Portland's first win of the season, Mamadou "Futty" Danso put in an impressive effort on both sides of the pitch.

Danso scored in the 38th minute off of a corner kick by Diego Valeri, but he also was credited with an own goal, when the ball grazed off his head in the 78th minute.

Outside of the goals, Danso made 17 effective clearances and blocked two shots.

Not only did Chad Marshall score the game-winning goal for the Seattle Sounders at CenturyLink Field on Saturday night, but he also turned in yet another stellar defensive showing.

Marshall blocked six shots in the 2-1 victory over Philadelphia that saw him win the match in the 84th minute.

The center back also made four effective clearances and four interceptions in Seattle's sixth win of the season.

Drew Moor helped Colorado earn the only clean sheet across the league on Saturday night.

Moor played a vital part in the clean sheet, as he made a goal-line clearance in the first half on a shot by Stefan Ishizaki.

He did concede a penalty for a high boot on LA forward Rob Friend in the 61st minute, but all was forgiven after Robbie Keane missed the penalty.

Kekuta Manneh was just one of many players who shined in the vibrant Vancouver attack in the first half on Saturday.

Manneh found his name on the scoresheet just 10 minutes into the match when he put home the rebound of his own shot off the right post and into the net.

The 19-year-old also earned an assist on the third Whitecaps goal in the 20th minute that was scored by Pedro Morales.

In Houston's 4-1 thrashing of Chivas USA, Brad Davis was one of many Dynamo players that impressed in the attack.

Davis got the scoring party started for Houston in the 12th minute, as he escaped past two defenders, and fired home past Tim Melia.

During his 85 minutes on the pitch, Davis completed all 30 of his passes.

During Vancouver's first-half onslaught at BC Place, Morales scored twice in two minutes.

Morales netted from the spot in the 19th minute, before he struck just a minute later from outside the box to beat Jon Busch for the eventual game-winner.

The Chilean designated player took six shots in the victory, three of which were on target.

Diego Valeri played a part in all three of Portland's goals in the 3-2 victory over D.C. United.

The Argentinian was credited with an assist on the first two Timbers goals of the match that were knocked home by Gaston Fernandez and Danso.

Valeri's cross into the box in the 94th minute found Maximiliano Urruti, whose second shot handed Portland its first victory of the season.

Surprisingly, the assists were the first two of the season for the Portland playmaker.

Joao Plata continued to show on Saturday night why he is one of the most dynamic forwards in the league.

The 22-year-old Ecuadorian scored on two occasions in Real Salt Lake's 3-2 comeback win over Chicago to put his season goal total at five.

In the 72nd minute, Plata took advantage of a small amount of space to score his first goal, and then, he beat Sean Johnson in the 93rd minute, to win the game for the Claret and Cobalt.

San Jose's attempted comeback in Vancouver was powered by Chris Wondolowski, who continued to show United States manager Jurgen Klinsmann why he belongs on the World Cup roster.

Wondolowski scored from the spot right before halftime, and then, he converted on a second strike in the 91st minute to give the Earthquakes a glimmer of hope with time winding down.

The two goals upped Wondolowski's career goal tally against Vancouver to nine.
