After about one-third of the English Premier League season, players continue to prove that they are worth a spot on your roster.
Fantasy owners are well aware of the ability of guys like Robin van Persie and Luis Suarez. However, there are a number of cheaper options who might be better fits on the fantasy team.
Although they have not been stars to this point in the year, big showings in Week 12 prove that these men should be added to leagues everywhere.
Romelu Lukaku, Everton
In an important match against Liverpool, Romelu Lukaku did everything in his power to help Everton win. While a late Daniel Sturridge goal led to a 3-3 draw, the 20-year-old forward showcased a lot of ability in the contest.
Lukaku scored two goals, one with a great finish in the middle of the box and the other with a header to put his side ahead late. Additionally, he had a total of five shots in the match, all on net.
He clearly has a big role on this attack and will continue to get a lot of opportunities in matches going forward. He has seven goals already this season and could end up with more than 20 by year's end.
Considering his fantasy price is less than that of Demba Ba, who has made only two EPL starts this year, Lukaku represents great value.
Jesus Navas, Manchester City
Although Jesus Navas has struggled to get onto the pitch this season, his performance on Sunday showed that he needs more playing time for Manchester City.
The Spanish midfielder finished with two goals and an assist as part of the 6-0 rout of Tottenham. WhoScored.com not only named him the Man of the Match, but it also gave him a perfect 10.0 rating.
Heading into the match, Navas only had two assists in 10 appearances (five starts), but this performance is something that should lead to more production going forward.
Fantasy owners should add him at a low value to wait to see if he can remain on the first team. If he starts for City, he should start for your team.
Frank Lampard, Chelsea
Obviously, Frank Lampard is not a young, no-named player looking for a break. However, he did come through with his biggest performance of the season for Chelsea on Saturday.
The 35-year-old midfielder scored two goals, including one on a penalty shot, to help the Blues secure a 3-0 win over West Ham United. These were the first EPL goals for Lampard since the first match of the season.
Still, the midfielder is a regular for one of the better clubs in the league. He has an elite ability to put the ball on net and can get a goal at any time. Meanwhile, he can also rely on teammates to earn points from the defensive effort.
As long as he gets onto the pitch, Lampard remains a solid value player to help your team win.
