Graham Ruthven of The New York Times learned of the fee the Red Devils had to pay to secure Fellaini's services.
Despite the price, this appears to be a very good move for the club.
With 11 goals and five assists in 31 matches in the English Premier League, Fellaini is coming off the best year of his career as a member of Everton. He was the most productive player on the roster and rarely had any help around him.
Still, the midfielder was able to help his squad reach sixth place in the EPL table due to his fantastic efforts on both ends of the field.
Additionally, he is a key player on the Belgium national team and hoping to help the group qualify for the World Cup in 2014.
With Fellaini's vision and passing ability, all he needs are players around him who can find the back of the net. Although this type of production was not readily available on Everton, he is certain to get plenty of support from his new squad.
It also would not be surprising to see him improve his scoring total as well, since there should be less defensive focus on him throughout the season.
The 25-year-old has already displayed plenty of ability in his career, but the amazing thing is that he is still getting better. Fellaini is just entering his prime and should be a force in the EPL for a number of years to come.
Manchester United will hope that Fellaini becomes the missing piece as the club look to contend for domestic and continental trophies next season.
