Arsenal FC: Lukas Podolski, Santi Cazorla Get Arsenal off the Mark (Video)
It took some time, but Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla are starting to jell.
Now if only Arsenal could get Olivier Giroud on the same page.
Podolski and Cazorla—both new signings this summer for Arsenal—combined on both goals Sunday as the Gunners defeated Liverpool 2-0 at Anfield. The new boys' combinations are sure to get Gooners excited after a couple of scoreless draws to start the season.
The first goal came in the 31st minute as Arsenal countered after a Liverpool attack. Podolski started the move in his own half, passing to Cazorla in the middle of the pitch. Cazorla dribbled onto the edge of the box and slipped an angled pass to Podolski on the left. Podolski then tucked a low shot past Liverpool keeper Pepe Reina for a 1-0 Arsenal lead.
That goal appears above. It was Podolski's first for Arsenal, and it was Arsenal's first of the year after more than three hours of time on the pitch.
The second goal came in 68th minute, and it involved both Podolski and Cazorla again.
This time, the two played a neat one-two on the left edge of the Liverpool box before Cazorla hit a low shot at Reina. The Liverpool keeper got a touch on the ball, but redirected it into his net.

That was all Arsenal needed, besides another clean sheet from the defense. The Gunners still haven't conceded this season.
All wasn't well, though. Arsenal's other new signing, French forward Giroud, missed another golden chance in the first half.
All in all, it was a solid performance for Arsenal away from home. Have your say, Gunners. What does this do for the club?
