NFL Power Rankings: Stock Watch for Every Division

Chris TrapassoNov 14, 2011

I love these stock watches.

People want to see where their team currently stands.

How about your team's entire division?

AFC East

The Patriots utterly dismantled the Jets on Sunday night in all phases of the game. Tom Brady bounced back from a few sub-Brady-like efforts against the Steelers and Giants and Mark Sanchez looked like a rookie.

Matt Moore led the Dolphins to their second straight win, a boring 20-9 affair against the Redskins. The defense hasn't exactly shut down the Saints or Packers these last two weeks, but at least they're out of their funk.

How about the Bills?

Once the NFL's darlings, Buffalo's been beat down the last two weeks and they made Tony Romo look like the greatest quarterback in the history of football yesterday.

AFC West

We've got the Raiders at 5-4 and the rest of the division at 4-5. What's going on here? This division isn't terrible, but it's not great either. No quarterback is even close to elite, but they can run the football.

After seeing this horrid stretch by the San Diego Chargers, I think they're on the outside peeking in at season's end.

When Darren McFadden returns for the Raiders, they should have enough firepower to win the division.

Still, I need to see some consistency from at least one of these teams.

All these clubs played each other in Week 10, so we were locked into a 2-2 record.

Stock Down?

AFC North

What happened to the Ravens? Oh yeah, they had another post-Steelers win hangover. They have so much potential. Another team I need some semblance of consistency from.

The Steelers imposed their will in the second half against the Bengals and Big Ben demonstrated his uncanny improvisation ability.

The Browns lost in a complete snoozer against the Rams.

Shocker.

Stock Down

AFC South

The Texans look to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender, don't they? They've won four straight after Andre Johnson's injury and losing Mario Williams for the season. Good for them.

They've lost a ton of games in the past three years against bad teams that they should have beat.

Haven't seen that hiccup this season.

The Titans are sticking around at 5-4, but the rest of the division is horrible with the Colts looking like most probable club to grab that No. 1 overall pick in next year's draft and Andrew Luck.

One great team. One decent club. Two bottom feeders.

Stock Up?

NFC East

The Eagles are done, right? A 3-6 record with an injured Michael Vick?

The Cowboys have won three of their last four and Tony Romo is on fire. The Giants had a great opportunity to take a commanding lead in the division, but fell short against the 49ers. Oh yeah, the Redskins have lost five straight.

Dallas was the only winner this week, so this one is obvious.

As usual, this division is a little over-hyped.

Stock Down

NFC West

The 49ers are for real. I'm stunned that they could beat the Giants without getting a single rushing yard from Frank Gore. They'll have the division wrapped up in no time.

Can you believe that all NFC West team's won on Sunday?

Two quality, confidence-building wins for the Cardinals and Seahawks.

Stock Up

NFC South

This division was supposed to be a three-team race, but the Buccaneers have greatly disappointed all season. Where has Josh Freeman been? How about Mike Williams?

The Saints got a huge win in Atlanta and I still can't figure out the logic behind Mike Smith's decision to go for it on fourth down from his own 30.

Then again, he's a former Coach of the Year.

I'm not.

The Panthers leave so much to be desired because of Cam Newton.

Stock Down

NFC North

The best division in football. I know the Vikings are 2-6, but with Adrian Peterson they can win any game. Aaron Rodgers is on pace to shatter just about every conceivable quarterback record this season and the Chicago Bears are on a four-game winning streak.

The Lions are still 6-3, but I was expecting them to show up against their division rival coming off the bye on Sunday.

I was wrong.
