Brandon Jacobs Needs to Shut Up and Start Playing Football
New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs is a big man.
The 6'4", 264-pound running back isn't just one of the most physically imposing at his position; he's one of the most physically imposing players in the entire league.
He has the height of a tight end and the weight of a linebacker, but he plays the running back position.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Unfortunately, big No. 27 is letting his big mouth make all the headlines this year rather than his play.
Injuries aside, it has become a problem listening to a guy talk who isn't producing on the field.
Less than a week after telling Men's Fitness magazine that he believes his career in New York is over as soon as his contract is up, he told the media that he doesn't care about the fans or what they have to say.
Following that, according to the quotes in ESPN New York's report, he said, "You're going to see a change, man. You're going to see a change."
The only change I want see and hear is Jacobs shutting his mouth.
I hate to get terribly cliche on the situation, but maybe Jacobs has never heard the phrase, "talk is cheap."
I don't even care if he plays to simply spite the fans for booing him. Instead of talking about it, go out and do it on the field for once.
Jacobs doesn't get as many touches as he would like, but he also doesn't do anything with the ones he's given.
In Sunday's come-from-behind victory over the Dolphins, he had four carries for 10 yards, one catch for zero yards, a fumbled handoff and a dropped pass.
The Giants offensive line doesn't make life easy for him or starter Ahmad Bradshaw, but we don't hear the diminutive starter spouting off every other week about pointless nonsense.
New York is about to run a gauntlet of a schedule that no other team in the league faces.
They won't play a 1 p.m. EST game again until December 18th (Week 15).
The six-game stretch they are about to embark on includes three 4 p.m. EST games (at Patriots, at 49ers and home vs. Packers), two Sunday Night Football games (home vs. Eagles and at Cowboys) and a Monday Night Football trip to New Orleans to play the Saints (not in that order).
The last thing the Giants players want and/or need to hear right now is one of their own running his mouth more than the football again.
Jacobs claims he is playing this game for his teammates, his "brothers."
If that is the case, he needs to shut his mouth, put his head down, drop his pad level and run over somebody. He needs to make people remember the Brandon Jacobs that used to relish hitting defenders in the open field as much as defenders relish hitting him in the backfield.
You want to "do what you've got to do" Jacobs? Then do your job of running the football instead of your mouth.
