Miami Heat: Will LeBron James Win More Championships Than Michael Jordan?
LeBron James has often been compared to Michael Jordan.
James has been just as exciting with his play but has never won the way Jordan did. Well, that could soon change.
James' prophecy of seven NBA titles doesn't seem so far fetched after all. The Miami Heat are one win away from advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals.
What was supposed to be a tough, gritty road to the NBA Championship for the Heat is turning into a cakewalk.
The older Boston Celtics will fall to Miami after only five games. The San Antonio Spurs fell to the Memphis Grizzlies. Kobe Bryant and the Lakers were swept out of the playoffs in disgrace at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks.
Meanwhile, the team no one thought would win the title this year is clicking on all cylinders. LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh are now dominating games with their chemistry after only one season together.
This point brings the question: How will the Heat fare after a couple seasons together? If there is not a veteran team to challenge them, the sky is the limit.
Let's take a look around the league. James' biggest nemesis, Kobe Bryant is playing well past his prime. Kevin Durant can't even get the most shots on his own team. Derrick Rose is an Allen Iverson reincarnate and poses no real threat. Even if Chris Paul joins the New York Knicks, will that team be better than the Heat? I trow not.
LeBron James will be a winner, a big winner. With a great young team playing ahead of the curve, James will win at least seven NBA titles. The mystique of MJ's six titles will be torn down. I know what you're thinking; Jordan didn't have to leave Chicago to chase rings, right?
He simply didn't have to. Michael Jordan played with Hall Of Famers Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman. How many Hall Of Famers did LeBron have in Cleveland?
Oh, that's right, none.
It is time to face the fact that the Heat will be very successful for years to come and no team will stop them.
