New York Giants' Record Shrinks to 0-2 After Monday Night Football Loss to Lions
The New York Giants no longer look aptly named after dropping to 0-2 Monday night.
For the second straight week, their offense fizzled on prime time. They compiled 270 total yards and allowed Eli Manning to get sacked five times in a 24-10 home loss to the Detroit Lions.
The G-Men have mustered 13 combined points in two losses to start 2017, the NFL's third-lowest tally after the San Francisco 49ers (12) and Cincinnati Bengals (nine). Even the New York Jets scored 20 points in a lopsided Week 2 loss to the Oakland Raiders.

The Giants, however, have not reached 20 on the scoreboard since last season's 27-13 victory over the Cleveland Browns in Week 12. According to ESPN Stats & Info, it's the first time in franchise history they have started 0-2 with a pair of losses both by 14 points or more.
It's only been two weeks, but the Giants' playoff hopes are quickly shrinking.
