The documentary comes two weeks after the first trailer was released, which included a brief narration summing up the movie's thesis, via Daniel Mano of the Bay Area News Group:

"Yo, life is funny You're just born, and right off people are telling you how to walk, what to think, how to be. If you're not careful, you'll go through your whole life trying to please those voices. But there's an inner voice you've gotta listen to. Is everyone going to like your decisions? Nah, man. They're going to second-guess you, misunderstand you, say you've changed…Well, have you?"

Durant announced he was signing with the Warriors on July 4, 2016, after spending the first nine years of his NBA career with the Seattle SuperSonics and Oklahoma City Thunder.

The 28-year-old was instrumental in leading the Warriors to their second title in three seasons. He was named NBA Finals MVP after averaging 35.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists in five games against the Cleveland Cavaliers
