Detroit Pistons 103, New York Knicks 78
One of five Pistons in double figures, Eric Moreland scored 15 points as Detroit had no issue in an easy win over the Knicks.
Second-year big man Henry Ellenson looked strong with a 14-point, seven-rebound, four-assist effort. He shot 5-of-9 from the floor and hit two of his four threes, a promising sign as the Pistons try to develop him into a reliable stretch 4.
No. 12 overall pick Luke Kennard added 14 points and five rebounds in 28 minutes but struggled a bit with his shot. Kennard was 5-of-13 overall and missed all but one of his five threes. Ten of Kennard's 14 points came during an impressive first quarter.
Pierre Jackson made the most of his 16 minutes, scoring 12 points and dishing out seven assists.
New York shot just 35.4 percent from the floor and did not get much from its skeleton crew. Chasson Randle netted a team-high 16 points but missed 12 of his 17 shots.
As expected, first-round pick Frank Ntilikina did not play. He has missed the team's first two games with a bruised right knee.
Orlando Magic 81, Miami Heat 68
The Orlando Magic opened the game on a 21-0 run and never looked back, earning an 81-68 win over the Miami Heat.
Rookie Jonathan Isaac scored a team-high 15 points and added 13 rebounds as one of four Orlando players in double figures. Derrick Walton Jr. scored 13 points off the bench, while Kalin Lucas and Marcus Georges-Hunt each finished with 12.
The Magic won despite making just four of their 21 three-point attempts in an ugly effort from outside. Georges-Hunt was the only Magic starter who hit a shot from outside.
The Heat shot a dispiriting 29.9 percent from the floor as a team, somehow missing a ton of shots inside the arc. First-round pick Bam Adebayo struggled his way to a 14-point, nine-rebound effort on 4-of-16 shooting. Okaro White had a team-high 15 points on 4-of-14 shooting, while London Perrantes and Gian Clavell also finished with a dozen points.
Indiana Pacers 84, Charlotte Hornets 77
Travis Leslie came off the bench to score 20 points, helping push the Indiana Pacers to an 84-77 win over the Charlotte Hornets.
Leslie shot 8-of-15 from the floor and came out with something to prove with Pacers brass on hand. The former G League All-Star, who plays for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, also added four rebounds. Joe Young scored 14 points and added seven assists in a strong effort from the Pacers backcourt Sunday.
Rookie T.J. Leaf scored 12 points and added five rebounds. The Pacers did not bring either of their second-round picks, Ike Anigbogu or Edmond Sumner, on their Orlando roster.
Forward Treveon Graham led the way with 18 points for Charlotte. Johnny O'Bryant III and Briante Weber each added 12 points.
First-round pick Malik Monk did not play Sunday.
