LeBron James Talks Mentality After Cavaliers' Win vs. Pacers in Game 2
Neither of the Cleveland Cavaliers' first two playoff wins were perfect, but their 2-0 series lead is all that matters to LeBron James.
"Just want to win, man. I don't care," James said after Monday's game, per Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com. "You can have a fourth-quarter lead and lose, you can have a four-quarter lead and win, be down and win. I just want to win the game. I don't care what happens. If we give up 100 points and we win by one, I don't really care. One game, it's all that matters. That's what we're here to do."
The Cavaliers held on for a 117-111 win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 2 of the teams' best-of-seven first-round series, though they led by 18 points going into the fourth quarter.
Game 1 was similar, as the Pacers stormed back from a double-digit deficit and lost by only one point.
The Cleveland defense was questionable in both contests and has allowed 109.5 points per game so far in the series.
The Cavaliers raised doubts at the end of the regular season, going just 12-15 after the All-Star break and losing the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference to the Boston Celtics. Even after it won the NBA title a year ago, there are concerns about the team's ability to make another deep run.
From James' perspective, however, Cleveland is right on track with two wins in two games.
