Raiders Will Not Rebrand Franchise During Potential Las Vegas Move
In the event the Oakland Raiders move to Las Vegas, their legendary brand will go with them.
"No rebranding is under consideration," team spokesman Will Kiss said last Friday in an interview Friday with USA Today's Lindsay H. Jones.
The Raiders have submitted their paperwork ahead of a potential move to Las Vegas. The franchise now awaits a vote from league owners to finalize its relocation. Twenty-four votes will be necessary to allow the Raiders to leave Oakland.

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
CSNCalifornia.com's Scott Bair noted Jan. 19 will continue to be a day of infamy for many Raiders fans:
In the event the Raiders follow through with their plans, it would be little surprise they'd retain their moniker and color scheme.
The Raiders have one of the most recognizable brands in the NFL—one that followed them from Oakland to Los Angeles in 1982 and then back to Oakland in 1995. Abandoning their namesake and starting anew would likely be a costly venture.
Few NFL teams have rebranded upon relocating. The Baltimore Ravens are the last team to do so in conjunction with their 1996 move from Cleveland. The Tennessee Titans eventually rebranded after leaving Houston, but the decision came after they played two years under the Oilers moniker.
Jones noted a franchise needs to know well in advance that it plans on rebranding. The league must be made aware of any uniform change two years prior to the switch.
Should the Raiders ultimately go in a different direction, they won't do so until 2019 at the earliest.
