Lance Thomas Reportedly to Re-Sign with Knicks: Contract Details and Reaction
The New York Knicks agreed to terms with Lance Thomas on a new multiyear deal worth $6 million Monday, per ESPN.com's Ian Begley.
Cleveland.com's Chris Haynes confirmed the news.
The move continues a productive offseason for the Knicks. They acquired Derrick Rose from the Chicago Bulls in June and subsequently made a couple of solid signings. New York agreed to a four-year, $72 million contract with Joakim Noah, per ESPN.com's Ramona Shelburne, and Brandon Jennings announced Monday he's joining the team as well.

According to Begley, the team may not be done strengthening its roster, either:
While the Knicks have struck out in terms of marquee free agents, they've shifted their focus toward building a more cohesive squad—something they failed to do in the past. Bringing Thomas back continues that trend.
In 59 games with the Knicks last year, the 28-year-old averaged 8.2 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. He also shot 40.4 percent from three-point range, and New York was 4.2 points better per 100 possessions with him on the court, per NBA.com.
Thomas will provide depth behind Carmelo Anthony at the 3 and Kristaps Porzingis at the 4, and his return to the Knicks will bolster their chances of getting back to the playoffs for the first time since 2012-13.
