Fred Jackson Wrecks Car After Seahawks Practice
Seattle Seahawks running back Fred Jackson was involved in a car accident following Tuesday's practice.
TMZ Sports reported the backup was drag racing with superstar Marshawn Lynch on a public street right outside the team's practice facility when the wreck occurred. Jackson apparently lost control of his car and "smashed into a larger planter box and then a stop sign."
However, Renton police spokesman David Liebman released a statement, per the Seattle Times: "There is no evidence he was drag racing anyone. He was leaving the facility, and he was clearly driving too fast when he hit a street sign."

This is just the latest development in what has proved to be a headache of a season for the Seahawks and their running backs.
Lynch has only 182 rushing yards and a 3.3 yards-per-carry mark. The latter figure is a career low, and Lynch has found the end zone just one time while missing two games because of injury.
As for Jackson, he has a mere 52 rushing yards and took a backseat to Thomas Rawls during Lynch’s absence. Through six games, Jackson has not proved to be the consistent threat he was with the Buffalo Bills.
The two-time defending NFC champions are 2-4 and now must deal with any repercussions that develop from this situation.
