Russell Wilson Comments on Jimmy Graham's Role in Seahawks Offense
It hasn't been a blazing start to tight end Jimmy Graham's career with the Seattle Seahawks. After being traded by the New Orleans Saints during the offseason, the sixth-year veteran is on pace for his lowest output in receptions and yards since his rookie season in 2010.
Seattle has utilized him as a blocking option rather than the dangerous receiver he developed into for New Orleans.
But Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson thinks it's a matter of time before Graham gets going in his new home, per Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk:

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"I think that the sky’s the limit and you want to keep trying to find him. I think there’s some more room to obviously improve. There’s some more things that we can hopefully score more touchdowns, get more catches, all those things. Thing about Jimmy is he’s a winner, and he’s a guy that loves to win and he’s a guy that’s dedicated to the game and dedicated to the team, so he fits in just right. We need to find ways to get him more involved, but not force it. He’s a special player, he’s one of a kind. So we’ve got to find that.
"
This comes a day after Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told Sheil Kapadia of ESPN.com that he would "love to get more" from Graham moving forward.
Wilson's aerial game has struggled this season, even with the threat of Graham, as the Seahawks rank 26th in the league with 213 passing yards per game. Wilson has thrown just six touchdowns on the season, with two of them going to Graham.
With that kind of ratio, it may be wise for Wilson to keep looking his way.
At 2-3 and with a matchup against the undefeated Carolina Panthers looming, something has to change for the Seahawks, who need a win in order to stay in the thick of things in the NFC West. Now would be a great time to get Graham involved and perhaps get Wilson in a passing groove.
