Amukamara's Absence Exposed Giants' Depth in Secondary
This is Amukamara's fifth NFL season, and he's only made it through a full 16 games once.
Notable among those injuries are a torn biceps this past November that ended Amukamara's 2014 campaign and a fractured foot that limited him to seven games as a rookie.
Amukamara and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie form a solid starting cornerback duo, but the Giants don't have many other players to turn to otherwise. After the announcement of Amukamara's injury, Coughlin said Jayron Hosley will move into the starting lineup, per Paul Schwartz of the New York Post.
The Giants have yielded the 31st most passing yards this season, with 3,099, though that has a lot to do with how stout they are against the run.
