WWE Hell in a Cell 2015: How to Fix Least Promising Storylines so Far

Aaron BowerOct 6, 2015

Although some current storylines are proving to be hits as WWE heads toward Hell in a Cell, there are some that really need work over the next few weeks.

The card is slowly starting to take shape, but there are some rivalries and storylines which are promising and offering little for WWE fans to get excited about.

But how should the company go about correcting and sorting out the least promising ones so far?

Nikki Bella vs. Charlotte

Right now, the scheduled Divas Championship match for Hell in a Cell is between current champion Charlotte and former titleholder Nikki Bella.

There's been little to capture the imagination so far, with both participants getting lost in the shuffle of the whole Divas Revolution.

So how could WWE make it a more exciting feud?

For starters, it would probably be wise to add someone else into the mix to make it more interesting. Paige is the obvious and standout choice, but for that to happen, WWE needs to play on her tension with Charlotte much more.

Charlotte and Becky Lynch's abandoning her at Madison Square Garden on Saturday should have been the catalyst for the ending of Team PCB. Paige should stand alone as the rebel of the entire division and force Natalya to team with Charlotte and Becky.

That would give at least one Diva a fresh edge, compared to the stables that are dominating the division, and would at least make things more exciting as we head toward the match.

But crucially, if Paige is to be involved, she has to start winning matches on TV; according to ProFightDB.com, she hasn't won a TV bout since SummerSlam.

Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker

Given how it's the headline match of the entire night, the fact that Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker has yet to sparkle makes it a real disappointment.

It's the bout which will surely dominate the entire build toward Hell in a Cell, and the presence of the two Superstars is key to selling the pay-per-view effectively.

So first and foremost, WWE needs to move on from Brock's awful and simply meaningless rivalry with Big Show, one which saw them fight at MSG on Saturday.

Lesnar won and then laid Show out in the middle of the ring on Raw this past week. That needs to be that, and although Paul Heyman cut another captivating promo on Undertaker and their match, they can't have someone like Show getting in the way.

And after bringing Lesnar back this week, Undertaker needs to follow suit next Monday and make his return to TV. We've seen from the build to their SummerSlam bout that when they're given the freedom to work together on Raw, sparks can fly.

Let's see more brutal and unsanctioned fights, more mayhem and pandemonium, and ultimately just more tension between the two. It's clear WWE is trying to make out that they don't like each other, so let's see it displayed in brutal fashion.

The sooner Undertaker is back to fuel this rivalry, the better it will be for everyone involved.
