Best Twitter Buzz Surrounding Philadelphia Eagles Ahead of Season Opener
Whether Sam Bradford wins league MVP or simply settles for Super Bowl MVP, it's clear the Philadelphia Eagles have found their franchise quarterback—or so the word is out of the City of Brotherly Love.
After the Eagles went 3-1 in the preseason and earned a first-round bye in the preseason playoffs, there are many reasons to feel good about Chip Kelly's team. It is in fact Kelly's team; he completely rearranged a team that went 10-6 in back-to-back years because "good" wasn't going to cut it. He wanted great.
And so far, it looks like he's made the right calls. The Eagles outscored their opponents 86-17 in the first halves of the first three preseason games, the only ones that even closely resembled a regular-season game.

Quarterback Sam Bradford capped off his preseason with a perfect 10-of-10, 121-yard, three-touchdown performance in the Eagles' annihilation of the Green Bay Packers' first-team defense.

And if those claims weren't enough for Philadelphia's next great superstar, who's rivaling Rocky Balboa and Allen Iverson for the best ever, one savvy Eagles fan created a hype video featuring none other than Bradford and Balboa.
"Sam Bradford has played 32 preseason snaps. There is a 5 min video highlights called "Warrior" #Eagles https://t.co/7EDwY23dPW

Not all of the bleed green faithful are hopping on the Bradford express train. Some fans are still not sure Bradford is completely over his injury history.
"I expect #Tebow back on the #Eagles roster come week 5 when Sam Bradford blows out his knee stepping off the team bus...

"You know Sam Bradford will have season ended by a locust attack & Mark Sanchez will end up lost at sea without ever boarding a boat, right?
— Dan Le Batard Show (@LeBatardShow) September 5, 2015"
But Bradford isn't the only thing that has Eagles' fans talking. The secondary, which was thrashed game after game last season, suddenly looked competent and, at times, dominant. Interceptions galore and a complete control of the opposing run game.

But despite all of the early success, the national attention toward Philly was based on its third-string quarterback battle between Tim Tebow and Matt Barkley. The winner would likely not play a single snap—heck, he might not have even suited up. But nonetheless, where there is Tebow, there is news.
And as it turned out, neither got the job. Instead, former Miami Hurricanes and Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Stephen Morris won the gig. And Philly media and fans didn't hold back on Tebow/Barkley jokes.

Seattle is dealing with injury and holdout concerns in its secondary, Green Bay is hoping to recover from Jordy Nelson's season-ending knee surgery, and Dallas still is searching for a running back to eat the meat that now-Eagles running back DeMarco Murray left on the bone last season.
Now that Tebow is gone, the attention in Philly can go to the actual players on the field. And the Eagles actually have a pretty solid shot at making noise in a suddenly wide-open NFC race.
