National Signing Day 2026 Predictions and Rankings for Top Uncommitted Recruits
The regular national signing period for the 2026 college football class is nearly here, though it won't carry the fanfare of years past. Though national signing day isn't until Wednesday, most 2026 recruits have been committed for some time.
In fact, only one of the top 300 prospects listed on 247Sports' composite rankings remains uncommitted heading into Wednesday.
A few recruits remain unsigned, though, and could potentially flip before putting pen to paper. Let's take a look at where they rank and make a few predictions.
First, though, let's take a quick look at how the 2026 recruiting race has unfolded.

Dylan Berymon, DL, Ouachita Parish
2 of 4
While national signing day used to bring scores of commitment announcements and a cascade of media coverage, it no longer carries much drama. 4-star defensive lineman Dylan Beerymon of Ouachita Parish High School (Monroe, LA) is the only noteworthy recruit who remains uncommitted in early February.
Berymon is the 197th-ranked recruit on 247Sports' composite rankings.
The talented defensive lineman was previously committed to Texas but decommitted in November. Since then, he's narrowed his list down to a pair of programs.
"Right now, it is going to be between Kentucky and Nebraska," Berymon told Rivals' Chad Simmons in December.
While some top unsigned recruits may throw some surprises into the mix, Berymon's decision could end up being the only domino that falls on national signing day. According to Sam Spiegelman of Rivals and On3, Berymon plans to announce his decision on Wednesday.
The prediction here is that Berymon opts to become a Husker.
Prediction: Nebraska
Andre Clarke Jr., CB, Hermitage
3 of 4
While Berymon is the only top uncommitted recruit, it's worth tracking the unsigned prospects as well. This is because several high-profile recruits have changed their commitments since the regular season ended.
4-star cornerback Andre Clarke Jr. of Hermitage (Richmond, VA) is just such a recruit.
Clarke had been committed to Michigan but decided to change course after the Wolverines' shuffling of coaching staff. According to SPN's Eli Lederman, one change, in particular, caused Clarke to weigh other options.
"Sources told ESPN that the Wolverines' decision not to retain defensive backs coach LaMar Morgan under new coach Kyle Whittingham was a driving factor in Clarke's decision to explore options elsewhere," Lederman wrote.
The 210th-ranked prospect on 247Sports' board, Clarke is likely to continue getting calls until/unless he officially signs his letter of intent with the Wildcats. Colorado and Virginia Tech were also "in the mix" for Clarke.
The prediction here, though, is that Clarke sticks with his commitment to Kentucky and new head coach Will Stein.
Prediction: Kentucky
Teddy Jarrard, QB, North Cobb
4 of 4
Quarterbacks generally generate buzz on national signing day, and 4-star signal-caller Teddy Jarrard of North Cobb (Kennesaw, GA) will be no exception. Though not uncommitted, Jarrard has yet officially sign with Notre Dame.
In fact, Jarrard wasn't even supposed to be part of the 2026 cycle. He only recently reclassified from the 2027 class. According to Rivals' Chad Simmons, Jarrard plans to sign with the Irish after the regular signing period opens.
Of course, this shouldn't stop other programs from trying to pry Jarrard away. He's the top QB recruit who could potentially be had at this point, and he was named as a viable NFL prospect by Craig Haubert and Tom Luginbill of ESPN.
"[Jarrard] projects at this stage as a potential multi-year starter at the Power Four level that can thrive in a structured environment with his accuracy and anticipation," 247Sports' director of scouting Andrew Ivins wrote.
Jarrard's reclassification has likely brought a new surge of interest. According to Simmons, Georgia and Indiana are still hoping to lure Jarrard.
With Fernando Mendoza headed to the NFL, Indiana could make a strong pitch to Jarrard, though the prediction here is that he sticks with his initial choice.
Prediction: Notre Dame
