Quarterback Trey Wright received a message from Minnesota Vikings signal-caller Kyler Murray after committing to USC and head coach Lincoln Riley.

"Trey, what's up bro? Kyler here. Just want to say congrats," Murray said in a video that Wright shared on his Instagram story. "You're in great hands. Coach Riley is a great teacher, great mentor, developer. One of the best coaches that you can play for. So soak it up, take every day as it is and try to get better each and every day. I hope you have a great career. Good luck."

Wright committed to the Trojans on Saturday, per Hayes Fawcett of Rivals.

He's a 3-star prospect listed as the No. 28 quarterback in the 2028 recruiting class, per 247Sports' composite rankings.

Wright received offers from schools including Clemson, Michigan, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Oregon, South Carolina and UCLA before committing to USC.

He confirmed that the support he received from Riley factored into his decision.

"I'm grateful he sees what I know I can bring to a program," Wright said, per 247Sports' Jarett Perez. "To have someone like him believe in you is something very special."

Murray previously played under Riley at Oklahoma from 2017-18, winning the Heisman Trophy during his 2018 campaign before he was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft.

Riley is currently getting ready for his fifth season with the Trojans, owning a 35-18 record across his first four years at the school.
