Calling True or False on 4 Recent Tottenham Hotspur Transfer Rumours
Tottenham Hotspur's transfer dealings have been roundly successful so far this summer.
They've addressed key flaws at right-back and in central defence and sold off some players who were unlikely to play major roles in the coming campaign.
They must to continue to make progress with plenty of time remaining before the window closes on September 1.
There are still concerns in midfield, attack and out wide, while a number of questionable squad players remain. Spurs must deal with both issues if they are to call this summer a success.
Roberto Soldado to Be Sold?
1 of 4
Roberto Soldado has been an utter failure since his move to Spurs from Valencia in the summer of 2013.
A big-money signing from La Liga, he has been unable to adjust to the style of play in England and ultimately supplanted as first-choice striker by Harry Kane.
The time has come for him to depart, and according to the Mirror, Sevilla are keen to take him back to Spain.
This story has also been reported by Spanish papers and seems to be believable.
It would be a move that would suit all parties, with Soldado likely desperate to get back to more familiar surroundings and both clubs equally keen to see the deal through.
Sevilla sold star forward Carlos Bacca to AC Milan this summer and need reinforcements, while Spurs are ready to move on from the failed experiment.

Fernando Llorente to Tottenham

Tottenham's reported interest in Juventus striker Fernando Llorente is understandable, given their desperation for an additional forward who could play alongside star man Harry Kane.
Italian outlet Tuttosport (via Metro) is reporting that the Spain international is also keen to make a move to London.
Llorente is out of favour at Juventus, and given their massive expenditure on the likes of Paulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic and Simone Zaza this summer, he is almost certain to leave the Italian champions.
His wage demands would not present a significant obstacle, so the step down in stature is seemingly the only barrier to this mooted transfer coming to fruition.
Llorente to Spurs: Mostly true
Younes Kaboul to Sunderland
3 of 4
Tottenham's ex-captain Younes Kaboul is available for sale this summer, and after the additions of Toby Alderweireld and Kevin Wimmer, his departure is now a priority.
According to the London Evening Standard, Spurs would accept £5 million for the player and Sunderland are willing to meet their demands.
The signing of Liverpool defender Sebastian Coates and re-signing of veteran Wes Brown has eased Sunderland's defensive woes somewhat.
However, there are still only three senior defenders of first-team quality, so Sunderland are certain to add to their options.
Younes Kaboul is a proven Premier League player, but his body has betrayed him in recent years. Robbed of the impressive physicality that was the backbone of his game, he is a shadow of the player he was.
Sunderland have made a habit of snapping up Tottenham rejects in the past. This move makes too much sense to fall through.
Kaboul to Sunderland: True
Michy Batshuayi to Tottenham
4 of 4
Tottenham must add to their striking options this summer and Marseille's Michy Batshuayi has reportedly been identified as a target.
The Independent suggests Spurs are unwilling to meet Christian Benteke's significant, £32.5 million release clause and instead prefer Batshuayi as a cheaper alternative.
He scored nine goals last season in Ligue 1 at a rate of one every 100 minutes.
According to Belgian reports, Spurs were among the clubs interested when Marseille won the race for Batshuayi's signature last summer.
It is no surprise, then, that these links have resurfaced 12 months later.
Reports suggest he would be available for as little as £9 million.
However, given Marseille have lost Andre Ayew and Andre-Pierre Gignac already this summer, they will likely be loath to lose another senior forward.
