Kelly Olynyk Injury: Updates on Celtics Center's Eye and Return
The Boston Celtics will likely be without big man Kelly Olynyk for a critical Wednesday showdown against the Indiana Pacers because of an eye injury.

Olynyk Likely to Miss Pacers Game
Wednesday, April 1
Olynyk suffered the eye injury in pregame warm-ups after contact from teammate Shavlik Randolph.
Sean Grande of NBA.com passed along a startling picture of the incident’s aftermath:
Coach Brad Stevens discussed what happened, via A. Sherrod Blakely of CSNNE.com:
"Kelly was playing his typical, one-one-one pregame with Shavlik and got elbowed in the eye. His eye blew up and so he went to the ophthalmologist to get sutured up and hopefully get some swelling down. It swelled up right away. I’d say he’s very unlikely tonight but I have not heard the final word from the doctors.
"
The Celtics and Pacers are both part of a crowded race for the bottom two spots in the Eastern Conference playoff picture along with the Miami Heat, Brooklyn Nets and Charlotte Hornets. Olynyk was averaging 10.2 points and 4.9 rebounds per game on the season coming into Wednesday’s matchup.
Jared Sullinger is already out for the season for the Celtics, so depth is something of a concern down low. If Olynyk is forced to miss extensive time, Tyler Zeller, Jae Crowder and Brandon Bass will have to step up.
