Here's Amar'e Stoudemire Singing 'Shake It Off' with Taylor Swift

Dan CarsonOct 30, 2014

The New York Knicks opened the 2014-15 NBA season in Madison Square Garden Wednesday night with a rollicking 24-point loss to the Chicago Bulls.

Carmelo Anthony and Co. combined for 37 percent shooting from the floor and fell behind by as many as 35 points in the second half.

Fortunately, there’s a silver lining for long-suffering Knicks fans: The team didn’t win, but it did have a super good time with Taylor Swift this week.

The 24-year-old singer joined Amar’e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony on the court this week to shoot a promotional video. There was shaking, dunking and more shaking.

Knicks beat reporter Kenny Ducey posted a fine Vine of Stoudemire and Swift singing an a cappella rendition of that song you hear everywhere at all times.

Stoudemire also picked up Swift for a pregame “layup.”

Adorable pictures were taken.

And then the Knicks lost, 104-80.

I’m not saying there’s a correlation between Swift songs at Knicks games and shooting droughts, but things definitely didn't improve after the video aired.

Just sayin’.
