Saints Set Record with 12th Straight Prime-Time Home Win
The New Orleans Saints set an unsurprising record with Sunday night's 44-23 drubbing of the Green Bay Packers, becoming the first team since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970 to win 12 consecutive prime-time home games, per ESPN Stats & Info.
It's rather fitting that the Saints hold the somewhat obscure record, as the franchise has become known for its dominance at home, while quarterback Drew Brees is noted for typically playing his best in home night games.
Though Sunday marked their first prime-time home game of the season, the Saints have done nothing to shed their reputation this year, winning all three home games and losing all four road games. Despite sitting at just 3-4 on the season, the Saints are presently in the midst of a franchise-record 11-game home winning streak that started in Week 1 last season, per STATS LLC on Twitter.

On the flip side, New Orleans has lost seven consecutive regular-season road games, albeit with a Wild Card Round playoff win over the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field mixed in.
The biggest difference between home and the road seems to be the success of New Orleans' passing game, which has carried the team throughout much of Brees' tenure.
Though still effective outdoors, Brees has a 68.7 career completion percentage in domes compared to a much more modest 63.6 completion percentage elsewhere. He's also averaged a full 8.0 yards per pass attempt in domes but just 7.1 yards per attempt outdoors.
